Regulatory & Compliance Coordinator

The Krusteaz Company is looking for an energized Regulatory & Compliance Coordinator! This position is responsible for providing support for regulatory reviews and compliance as well as critical technical documentation processes. This position provides essential reviews for food safety and regulatory compliance as well as management of specifications and technical documentation for both external and internal customers. This involves researching, collecting, and verifying all information to be used in the creation of standard and customized technical documents. Data maintenance occurs in The Krusteaz Company, customer managed and other third-party systems.

Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
  • Leverage systems, policies, and tools to create technical information documents including standard and customized product specifications, export documents, various compliance documents as requested by internal and external customers.
  • Manage external business needs, such as providing regulatory content, product specifications, company position statements, formulation statements and specific customer requests. Ensure effective documentation controls are executed to manage information communicated.
  • Ensure compliance as required by external customers portals, databases, or written documentation of specifications, position statements, and related technical documentation.
  • Update and manage technical documentation of ingredients to support required nutritional, labeling and threshold levels follow regulations and The Krusteaz Company.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and identify improvement opportunities of Regulatory and Technical documentation systems, policies, and tools.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely and effective communication with customers or other external parties.
  • Support initial ingredient regulatory assessments to meet requirements that enables further regulatory and product development processes.
  • Support design, implementation, and training within areas of responsibilities for updated work regulatory and technical documentation processes. This may require working cross-functionally to ensure effective processes and communication are established.
  • Provide support preparation for audits, export, halal, kosher, food safety, customers.

Education and/or Experience:
  • B.S or A.S in food science, nutrition, or science background or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience creating and managing technical or regulatory documentation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with documentation related to food manufacturing preferred.
  • Notary or willingness to assume this responsibility preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time are also included.

Hybrid Work Model: At The Krusteaz Company, we have in-office "core days" of Tuesdays and Wednesdays where all corporate employees are expected to be onsite. Monday, Thursdays, and Fridays are flexible remote days to allow for work/life balance. You may be asked to come in outside of a core day from time to time, based on business needs. Salary Information:
  • An employee in this position can expect a salary range between $60,257 and $96,414. We typically pay out between $67,000 and $85,000. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including internal equity, experience, education, certification, training, and location. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance.
