Pay:

$20.72 an hour + $1.75 Shift Differential

Paid Bi-weekly.

Shift and Hours:
  • 3rd Shift
  • Sunday - Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:30 am

Key Requirements & Environmental Factors:

This position is responsible for supporting all areas of production involved with packaging dry food products according to customer and company specifications, packing, trucking, stacking, counting, wrapping, weighing, cleaning, and operating machinery on a rotating basis.

Essential Functions:
  • Execute all aspects of processing dry mix and not limited to data entry, recordkeeping, lifting 50 pounds several times per shift, using a forklift to transfer product, filling or emptying semi-trailers, and other requirements of the job.
  • Ensure that all work completed in the processing area, meets all requirements of Process and Compliance Quality, Food Safety Programs and HSE.
  • Manage all bag dump/processing functions as it relates to producing a finished product.
  • Ensure quality checks on ingredients used in the processing of the finished product.
  • Participate actively in the preventive maintenance system.
  • Perform other necessary tasks as directed by management.
  • Operates packaging equipment (baggers, metal detector, check weigher, etc.) and process control systems.
  • Performs regularly scheduled sanitation tasks.
  • Assist with rail car / bulk unloading tasks.

  • Safeguard product quality and follows GMP, housekeeping, and food safety guidelines.

  • Develop good working relationships with fellow team members.
  • Ability to work independently and to ensure specific assignments are completed within established time frames
  • Communicate clearly using a variety of media.
  • Process information systematically to identify and eliminate problem causes.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and processes.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

You may be exposed to a variety of physical demands that require you to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), speak clearly into the radio, climb stairs, exert energy, bend, twist and squat, and use tools and equipment. Employees stand and walk on concrete while wearing steel-toed shoes, uniforms, hair nets, bump caps and safety glasses. The use of company - provided hearing protection is also required in stated areas. Employees may be working in non-temperature controlled environments.
