Essential Duties
- Effectively leads people, teams, and process; sets expectations, tracks results, and manages accountability
- Develops strategic and tactical plans to meet short and longer-term business needs with timely implementation.
- Manages financial performance, including budgeting, costing, expense & direct labor tracking, and results feedback.
- Works effectively and collaboratively with peers throughout the Company in a variety of functional areas such as Quality, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Human Resources.
- Coaches, teaches, and provides opportunities for team members to develop through effective and timely performance management activities such as performance reviews and ongoing feedback.
- Plans, leads and executes selected capital and process improvement projects using standardized company process, from planning through implementation, including vendor management
- Manage and evaluate the preventive maintenance and work order program to maintain plant assets.
- Drive maintenance activities and initiatives to meet company objectives.
- Ensure equipment reliability through execution of maintenance programs and systems.
- Works closely with company-wide Plant Maintenance Managers to share best practices
Position Requirements
- Demonstrates teamwork by interacting effectively with people in all areas of the company and building and developing cross-functional work teams.
- Is a self-starter with high initiative who continues to expand knowledge of business processes, tools, data, etc.
- Systematic problem solver proficient with root cause analysis who can implement effective solutions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; writes clearly, speaks persuasively, and facilitates groups effectively.
- Demonstrates creativity while leading change and continuous improvement process for projects in all areas.
- Experience driving demonstrated results a must.
- Proficient planning and project management skills
- Demonstrated technical competence with a variety of industrial equipment and controls
- Demonstrated success leading continuous improvements; TPM preferred
- Travel up to 10% of the time and work a flexible schedule with respect to shifts and days of the week
Education & Experience
- Four-year degree in manufacturing, engineering, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years previous maintenance experience; supervisory or leadership experience within the food industry preferred.
- Demonstrated experience effectively leading individuals, teams or work groups.
- Prior experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred
